Little Acorns Child Development Center (LACDC) has positions open for experienced, enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with children and being part of a team environment. LACDC is accredited through NAEYC, which offers developmentally appropriate activities and education in a loving environment. Little Acorns is currently looking for the following positions:

1. Infant/Toddler Teacher – NAEYC Accredited School

Employment type: Full-Time

Requirements:

We are in need of an experienced Infant/Toddler teacher to join our team of dynamic educators. We believe in developing the whole child through implementing the Creative Curriculum. All interested candidates should be experienced in the Care and Development of young children. As well as:

Have Knowledge of Bright from the Start Rules and Regulations

a) Be Flexible

f) A minimum of a CDA credential
g) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

2. Preschool Teacher – NAEYC Accredited School

Employment type: Full-Time

Requirements:

a) Work in a preschool classroom, including developing curriculum, building portfolios, and implementing positive communication with parents.
b) Knowledgeable in all areas of child development, creative classroom environments, best practices, and NAEYC standards.
c) Enthusiastic, loving, and nurturing personality.
d) Minimum of required 12 ECE units.
e) Bachelor of Art or Science degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field which includes 12 ECE units based in the core classes of Human Growth and Development, Child, Family, Community or Family Relations, and Curriculum.
f) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

3. Assistant Teacher – NAEYC Accredited School

Position Summary:

To assist the classroom teacher by providing a warm, nurturing and safe environment for the children where self-concepts are enhanced, independence encouraged, and individuality respected in accordance with organizational policies and state and local requirements. Assist in the implementation of daily activities under the guidance of the teacher. Coordinate daily activities in the absence of the teacher.
Recruitment Requirements:

a) A high school diploma or general education development certificate and completion of a post-secondary training curriculum such as the Certified Childcare Professional credential (CCP) or the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
b) A high school diploma or a general education development certificate, 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year of documented experience working with children.

A high school diploma or a general education development certificate and 2 years of documented experience working with children.
